Plaine 17

1050 Ixelles / Belgique

La Plaine Development is made up of a series of individually operated buildings designed as an urban streetscape in the inner suburbs of Brussels. The 7-storey developments is built next to railroad tracks and a local commuter station. Originally conceived to house a leading global pharmaceutical company, the U-shaped La Plain 17 is made up of two protuberant semi-cylinders. The building is covered with clear, semi-reflective structural glazing and granite, and has a transparent high-tech allure. The general "U" plan opens onto the Boulevard. The main entrance is enhanced by a glass cube and is accessible via a small bridge.
