The building houses: a conference room of 813 seats, 6 seminar rooms with 60 seats, 2 translation booths, 1 video projection room, 2 meeting rooms. The brick façade of cleaved concrete lying accented with horizontal joints format is punctuated by esplanade side square windows. The building is covered with extensive green roofs. The acoustic comfort of the conference room is realised through suspended absorbing false ceilings, perforated wood paneling and apparent porous concrete bloks. The building is accessible to people with reduced mobility. Special techniques have been studied to reduce energy consumption: decentralized production of heat via the feeder supplying all university buildings, night free-cooling, double-flow ventilation with heat recovery, control probe CO ² sensor presence, room temperature sensors, GTC.
